Epson's cutting edge large format print technology has revolutionized digital printing and the digital darkroom. Epson has been the pioneer in producing true photo-realistic printers for years, and most recently, has been pioneering the use of pigment based inks. The typical ink-jet printer uses dye based inks which produce a very wide and brilliant color gamut but with limited print longevity.

Epson's early attempts at utilizing pigment based inks produced prints with outstanding longevity but a limited color gamut. The latest generation UltraChrome® HDR™ Inks provide print longevity of from 80-200 years (well over 200 years for black & white) with one of the very largest color gamuts in the industry.
