Our digital darkroom utilizes hardware calibrated monitors and paper specific printer profiles. If the monitor you are using to view your files is not color calibrated, then your print colors may differ from your monitor.
We will attempt, within reason, to make your large format prints resemble any proof print samples you submit with your print job. If however, you are not using a color calibrated work flow, the files you provide us may be impossible to match to your expectations. If you are unsure your file will produce the results you expect then please order a proof print.
If you would like to learn more about monitor calibration -- one of the most important steps for getting great color prints -- please visit Datacolor for a wealth of articles, videos, and information provided by Datacolor's ColorVision™.
Please note: If you have us run your large format printing order without a proof print and you are not satisfied, we can not reprint your order free of charge.
◦ For fine art reproductions and color critical work we strongly suggest that you use our proof services.
◦ If you are not using a color calibrated work flow we also strongly suggest that you use our proof services.
◦ Before we begin printing large size prints or a large print run you should have us print a smaller "proof" for your approval. For example: if your project is a 30x40 inch large format print, an 8x10 or 11x14 inch "proof" could be printed first to check colors.
◦ Proofs are billed at the smaller print price.
◦ If adjustments need to be made, additional 8x10 or 11x14 proofs will be printed at the 2-19 quantity print price.
◦ If you are ordering more than 10 large format prints we will include a single 8x10 (or 11x14 for larger print sizes) proof print at no charge.
◦ Once you are happy and give us the go-ahead, we will print your larger project.
◦ We believe that communication is the key ingredient in this process, and we will keep you informed of any questions or concerns along the way.
